Information in using a roulette

I was assigned a client to work on a project that would be using a roulette and a raspberry pie.  I first was doing some research in what the roulette has inside. I learned that the roulette has sensor in the bottom in each in every number. It will sense the ball when it lanes in the roulette. As you can see in the document:

Minimum Viable Product (MVP): A raspberry Pi based system that allows a Roulette wheel operator to enter a number on a keyboard and have that number automatically display on a monitor according a real Roulette spin display:
